Spoilers: Through the Season Three BtVS episode 'Earshot', and through all of my Faith fiction, up to and including 'Virtue of a Warrior'.

Note: If you have not read my other work, and do not at this point have the urge to, then you can still read this one without feeling lost. Simply skip the Prologue, and go directly to Chapter One. As this is a 'story within a story', you can read chapters one through seven, treating it as a simple Alternate Universe fic, and it will work just fine.
