That's about the it.
True, I've gotten a couple of tiny little things done; mostly stuff intended to get me around the writer's block. The problem is, it isn't really a block--I never have any lack of ideas that I WANT to do; it's just a matter of finding the energy to follow through with the actual writing.
Anyway, as for the updating thing: I have those few chapters of random little stories sitting around, and they're up on other sites (like Twisting the Hellmouth) but I still want to put them here, on my own site.
So I'll try and do that in the next day or three.
And of course, I'm hoping to get some work done of those stories that are the favorites of certain loyal readers... it's just that I won't know when that'll happen until it actually happens.

I take it back: posting the second half of Book three on August 1st WAS a completely crazy expectation.

However... I'm back to working on it. Chapters nine and ten are not coming along quietly, more like kicking and screaming (and with occasional, very emo-style LJ posts from me), but they are coming along.
And... I think I'll go ahead and post two or three chapters for you, to help you pass the time while I try to finish this thing. I'm htmling chapter seven now, it should be up shortly.

That was a crappy couple of weeks, but I'm finally feeling better. Chapter ten is in progress. August 1st as the posting date for the rest of Book Three is not a completely crazy expectation.

The feedback link actually does seem to be working, for most people at least, so I guess the hivelogic code there is good.
One more chapter to html tonight, and then it's back to actually writing again.

Four chapters up, two more to go in the first installment of Book Three.
My cranky tummy has had me not feeling well enough to get those two coded, but I'm aiming for them to be posted today/tonight.
Can someone do me a favor and hit the 'feedback' link on the Bedtime Story page? I think I've got it working, and set to the right email address, but for some reason it only wants to use Outlook on my comp when I try to test it, and Outlook is disabled on my machine. Maybe I've done something wrong, there, and it's not going to work for anybody....

Sorry, guys, I've been sick.
Still not feeling well, but I'm making progress on the html work.
Chapters should start showing up soon, on the 'Bedtime Story' index page.
As usual, the non-frames side of the site will lag behind (to be honest I often forget it's there, until someone reminds me), but they'll be there too, eventually.

Chapters 1-6 of Book Three of the Bedtime Story are now complete, beta-d, proofread, etc.
The tale's self-appointed cheerleader/high-priestess is currently reading it (fingers crossed that she likes it, after all the work she did to get me writing on it again!), and now all that's left is to do the html code and put it on the site.
I'll probably start on that sometime around midnite Saturday evening. It's 60,000 words, and the second half will likely be nearly that large also. I'll get back to work on that next week, and it should only be another month or so to get that one to you as well.
I still haven't gone through and changed the feedback links on the site; I should probably do that at some point.

I'm feeling (almost) confident that a largish chunk of story will be posted at some point Friday or Saturday.

First draft still not done (I'm up to 9 chapters and 93,000 words, though). Since this book divides fairly neatly into a part one/part two, that's what I'm going to do. Chapters one through five (or possibly one through six... okay, I guess it's not that neat a division) should be posted on (or around) August 1st, as promised.
The rest will follow in fairly short order, as there's only one more longish chapter to go.
So, today, right now, I'm working on the final draft of chapter one.
(And believe me, the red editorial ink is flying like the blood during one of Faith's wilder battles)
More news as it happens.

Okay, it's a good news/bad news kind of thing.
Yes, I'm working on Book Three of 'Faith and Buffy's Super-Happy-Ending Bedtime Story' (Gods, every time I have to type that I regret my choice of titles ^_^).
Yes, the writing is going well, I'm having a good time with this story, these characters, and all that stuff.
Yes, I promised that Book Three would be posted on June 1st.
The bad news is... I've failed to meet that deadline.
There's more good news, though! A large part of why I failed is that I'm having so much fun with this that Book Three is running long. Way, waaaay long.
Novel-length long; 70,000 words and still going. By the time I finish, it's probably going to be 90,000+, and that's very much novel-type wordage.
There's also been lots of work hours interfering with things, but you don't care about that.
So, bottom line: I'm working on this with very nearly every free hour I have, and hope to have it ready very soon. Of course there's still going to be some revision/cleanup/final draft work to be done on it, even after the initial typing is done, and for something this size that process might take a week or two. I hope not, but it's hard to know until you get into it.
Actual bottom line: I'm going to say 'July 1st', for the new release date. I very much expect/hope that it'll be sooner than that, and if it is then I'll post it ASAP. I've been having fun with this story, and I can't wait to get it out there to whoever wants to read it.
Once again, I apologize for the long, long pause in the storytelling, I thank you for your patience, and I hope you'll enjoy it when it finally arrives.
